MICROBLADING
Your Brow Specialist.
What Is Microblading?
Microblading is a form of tattooing. Unlike a regular tattoo, microblading is a form of tattoo artistry where pigment is implanted under your skin with a manual handheld tool instead of a tattoo gun. Unlike tattoos that go 7 layers deep into the skin and turn out red or green after a while, the semi-permanent hair stroke method is deposited only 2 layers under your skin. The strokes appear very fine, crisp and they simply fade away without traces of pigment over time.
This eyebrow treatment is for people who have over plucked, loss of hair/patchy areas that will not grow back and have the wrong brow shape. Microblading is putting the finest hairs back into eyebrows with pigment to provide definition and dimension. Microblading is the most natural looking brow enhancement giving your brows balance while controlling the shape and symmetry.
How to Prepare for treatment (MUST READ)
If you are naturally a heavy bleeder this is not for you. The pigment will not retain evenly due to the blood flow pushing the pigment out. If antibiotics or steroids have been in your system, you must wait 2 solid weeks after you have completed the medication to get microbladed. Heavy or Daily Alcohol consumption will have the same effect.
If you have injectable fillers or Botox in your face, please be aware that I cannot be held responsible for brow symmetry due to injectable settling. If you have recently received injectables, and are very pleased with the placement, you may schedule no sooner than 2 weeks after.
These products can make you bleed excessively, making it difficult for the pigment to implant
Alcohol 24 hrs before procedure. Heavy/daily drinkers are not a good candidate.
Fish oil
Do not take aspirin or ibuprofen 72 hours prior to your session.
Discontinue Retin-A skin products close to the enhancement area two weeks prior and after your procedure.
Discontinue use of AHA skin care products close to the enhancement area one week prior to your procedure. Avoid the area after and use gentle cleansers.
FAQ'S
THE ANSWERS YOU NEED
DOES IT HURT?
Everyone's tolerance is different. I administer a topical numbing cream that is an FDA approved solution that features 5% lidocaine. It provides a numbing sensation within 20 minutes and is backed by extensive research and development. Some people describe the treatment as a scratching sensation with little to no pain. The numbing treatment will not make this service completely painless but will make it more comfortable. For women, you will be more sensitive if you are hormonal or on your menstrual. Plan your appointments accordingly.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO HEAL?
The standard healing time is 7-10 days after the initial treatment. Some people may take longer to heal and this can be due to the clients skin type or how well they followed aftercare instructions. The first 48 hours are the most critical because, it is during this time that you are susceptible to infection. Be sure to keep the area clean and refrain from touching, wearing makeup, sweating and submerging brows in water for the 7-10 day time period. Allowing the brows to heal without using ointments, creams or cleansing with soaps will help you achieve the best results.
HOW OFTEN WILL I NEED A TOUCH UP?
After the initial microblading treatment, clients typically return in 6 months to a year for a touch up. although rare, some clients may need to be seen for a "Perfecting Appointment" 4-6 weeks after treatment to fill in some spots that didn't take. This appointment is included in the total service cost. No guarantee can be made that a specific client will benefit or heal the same as another from this procedure. Generally, the results are excellent but it very much depends on your skin texture, oiliness and your health.
HOW DO I CARE FOR MY NEW BROWS AFTER TREATMENT?
Keep your face directly out of the shower stream and do your best to keep your face as dry as possible. Also keep showers brief, as too much steam can harm the brows. Avoid saunas, direct sun exposure, tanning beds.
When washing your face, be sure not to splash water onto your face like we normally do. Instead use a washcloth or disposable cleansing wipe to wash AROUND the brows.
Use product free blotting paper 3 times a day for normal skin, and 6 times a day for oily skin directly on top of the brows and then the surrounding area for the first 10 days as well.
Do not apply any ointments, creams, oils or lotions on the microbladed area. This is key to achieve the best results!
No heavy exercising or sweating for at least 7-10 days post procedure. If you want the best color and detail retention avoiding heavy physical activity is crucial.
After 7-10 days, please begin to wash your face and brows normally if most of the peeling process has been completed. Please cleanse with a gentle face wash.
Once completely healed, I advise applying a layer of sunscreen SPF 30 up to SPF 50 on your eyebrows when exposed to the sun. Sun exposure will cause the color pigment to fade away more quickly. Generally, the results are great but it very much depends on your health, skin type and oiliness.
WHO IS NOT IDEAL FOR THIS PROCEDURE?
(MUST READ)
Someone who has Keloid prone skin meaning, can form a keloid on any part of body.
Someone with severely oily skin. Pigment will look more solid than like hair strokes. touch ups may be needed more frequently.
People with Diabetes type 1 and 2 are prone to slow healing and infection and can not receive this service.
Current Chemotherapy patients consult with your doctor. Medication associated with your condition may cause pigment to not retain properly.

Auto immune diseases due to healing and medication. Consult with your doctor.
Someone with Chronic Epilepsy or Parkinsons cannot receive this service, no exceptions.
No Blood thinners, or heavy bleeders. Pacemakers or major heart problems. Must have Cardioligist clearance if not on blood thinners.

Someone who has Thyroid issues and currently taking medication may cause pigment to not retain properly. Requires more touch ups.
If you are pregnant or nursing (due to the numbing Treatment)
Currently using or has used Accutane. Since Accutane alters your epidermis and weakens your immune system, it is best to wait when your skin is fully healed (6-12 months after Accutane is completed) and your immune system is strong.
Please note: You may receive the service with the clear understanding that pigment may not retain properly and you may need more touch ups more frequently than others due to pigment fading more rapidly.
