This hybrid training course is thoughtfully structured to guide you from the foundational knowledge of permanent makeup to hands-on experience, with full support at every stage.

DAY ONE & TWO

The first two days focus on theory, technique, and hands-on practice:

Client consultations and service preparation
Disinfection, sterilization, and licensing requirements
Medications that impact healing & the procedure
Anatomy of the skin and contraindications
Skin conditions, skin types & the Fitzpatrick scale
Brow mapping, symmetry, and shaping
Machine fundamentals: needle depth, speed, and control
Color theory and proper pigment selection
Content creation, proper photo & video angles
Marketing tips to help you start and grow your beauty business

These days are designed to build your technical skills and deepen your understanding of each aspect of the procedure, from technique to client care.

DAY 3 | GUIDED SESSION WITH A LIVE MODEL

The third day is where we tie everything together with hands on simulation on paper and doll heads. A 1:1 guided session, scheduled about a month after your initial training. This is where you’ll put your knowledge into practice with your first real client—and I’ll be right there with you every step of the way.

ULTIMATE BROW GROOMING COURSE | HYBRID CERTIFICATION

ONLINE THEORY + 1-DAY HANDS-ON TRAINING

This professional hybrid course teaches the fundamentals and advanced techniques of brow grooming from start to finish. Students will begin with online theory and complete the training with a one-day hands-on workshop, practicing on three live models under instructor supervision. A certification is awarded upon completion.

ONLINE THEORY | SELF-PACED

Learn the core foundations of brow grooming through easy-to-follow online lessons. Students will gain a solid understanding of skin and hair, sanitation, brow mapping, hair removal methods, and professional best practices before entering the hands-on portion of the course.

DAY ONE | HANDS- ON | LIVE MODELS

Spend a full day practicing real techniques with guided support. You’ll map brows on paper and a mannequin, then work on three live models to build confidence, refine your skills, and master professional brow shaping from start to finish.

I DON'T HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WITH BEAUTY, OR MAKEUP, SHOULD I SIGN UP FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS?

If you love transforming faces and helping people get their confidence back, this is the perfect career for you.

DO I NEED AN ESTHETICS OR COSMETOLOGY LICENSE TO TAKE THIS TRAINING COURSE?

You do not need to be a licensed esthetician or cosmetologist to take a certification course for permanent makeup in the state of California or Tennessee. Although having additional background training with skin can be helpful, it is not required to take the course or perform the service.

DO I NEED TO DO ANYTHING ELSE TO PREPARE FOR THE TRAINING COURSE?

Before taking the course, check your local county health department for all tattooing license requirements. Allie Yamaguchi provides a certificate of completion but students are required to apply for a tattoo license in their own County/State to Legally perform this service. Students should also complete an online Bloodborne Pathogen training prior to the course. Your local health department has resources in compliance with your county. This will be covered in the course.

ARE WE REQUIRED TO BRING ANYTHING WITH US TO THE TRAINING?

Students are not required to bring anything additional to the training. We will provide lunch and beverages. If students wish to bring a notebook to take notes, that is optional. Please be sure to have the remaining balance for the course in cash. You will be issued a receipt after payment is collected.

IF I AM UNABLE TO TAKE THE COURSE, CAN I GET MY MONEY BACK?

All deposits are non-refundable. If a student is unable to make the training, they may transfer the deposit to a later training date. If the student fails to provide a 48-hour notice, their deposit will be forfeited, and a new deposit will be required to book a future training. If the student doesn't return to a group training, a 1:1 continuation will not be provided. The student will need to attend another group training and join in on the days missed. No refund will be given.
